HAGAN - PURE SKI MOUNTAINEERING
For 95 years our heart has been beating for the mountains - and we have put this passion into our products from the very beginning. From our early years as ski manufacturers to our current specialization as touring ski experts, the three principles of quality, durability and a love of the winter mountain world have been at the center of everything we do.
As an Austrian family business, now in its third generation, we are particularly proud of our credo "Products from ski tourers for ski tourers".
With a focus on the essentials, we develop reliable, high-quality and field-tested equipment for people who share our enthusiasm for the fascinating mountain world and ski touring. HAGAN - the Austrian ski brand since 1924.
1924
The brothers Franz and Hans Hager started with ski production in their wainwright's workshop - they named their company HAGAN, after the first letters of the family name "Hag "er and the company headquarters "An "tiesenhofen (Upper Austria)
1925/1926
About 500 pairs of skis have already been sold - classic solid wood skis, cut from ash battens, boiled in water and bent over a heated iron model
1975
Franz Siegesleuthner, the grandson of Franz Hager, took over the management
Since then pretty much everything has changed in ski production: From the change to layered skis to specially developed plastics, metals, paints, coatings, bases and of course special machines for production.
Various products were manufactured in the production facility of the traditional company in Antiesenhofen: among others sledges and toboggans, the mountain bike "HAGAN Titanal", snowboards and in the 80s also windsurf boards.
1995
In the middle of the 90s, crisis years for almost the entire Austrian ski industry HAGAN concentrated on the development of touring skis - the new start was successful and together with his wife Alexandra, Franz Siegesleuthner continues to lead the company HAGAN Ski
2019
